American Head _TPLIKM_ Still a great album - [01/26/05]
Hey QQQuantity fans. If you're like me, and I suspect, at some basic level, you aren't, you're eagerly anticipating the new American Head record... but I think you should all be reminded of their great record from a few years back, _This Provincial Life is Killing Me_. Sounds range from lo-fi samples of twenty-something male humans squawking to dense, intricate interlocking loops, to granulated sound textures hanging underneath airplanes. Is it a silly response to suburban ennui or a quintessentially contemporary suburban response to the silliness of life? Or just an excuse to Get Large?

All I know is, when it was released back in 2000 it placed consistently in WFMU's top 40 most played... even though they don't play it much any more, I heartily recommend streaming whatever they have on now @ www.wfmu.org -- and go check out _This Provincial Life is Killing Me_. An Apollo Legend. I mean, A QQQuantity Classic.

Wow, we have a pretty big Back Catalog. Would anyone be interested in a "Best of QQQ 1999-2002?"
